Lake Daniells

From the 'Sluice Box' the track continues up the Alfred River passing through splendid red beech forest to the lake where there is a hut sleeping 24.

Good rainbow and brown trout fishing is an attraction in season. This is a great walk for families with young children or those people new to tramping. The track is a well formed bench track that can also be completed as a day walk.

This track is located 5km east of Springs Junction on the Lewis Pass Highway from the Marble Hill carpark.
