Friends of the Hill Museum
The Friends of the Hill Society is a group of people, mainly former residents, and interested parties who want to see the history of Denniston.
From "The Camp" to Coalbrookdale, preserved and displayed for the public. We have a long term lease on the former Denniston High School building, which is now owned by Solid Energy Limited. We envisage developing this as an Information Centre, with displays and photographs recalling the days when the area was in full operation. It will also serve as a meeting place, for locals and visitors alike, to meet and reminisce. The Society wishes to acknowledge the help and encouragement given to their project by Solid Energy Limited, the Buller District Council and the Department of Conservation.
Membership of the Society is open to any interested person or group and the annual subscription is $15.00. Contact can be
