The road to Carters Beach is well signposted – drive over the Buller River Bridge as though you’re heading back south but go straight ahead after the bridge and keep going until you see the Carters Beach turnoff. It’s about five minutes from the bridge to the turnoff.

Carters Beach has everything you want for a great family fun day out. A domain (park) and playground, a golf links closeby, and a café/bar/dairy/takeway.

It is a safe swimming beach with lots of room to spread out and have a piece of paradise to yourself.

This beach community is a beach suburb of Westport.  There’s plenty of accommodation out here too with a large holiday park and various rental holiday homes.

No camping or overnight stays are permitted in the park.
