The sound of the river can be heard in the still evenings along with the birdsong. The river is very suitable for swimming within 300 m of the property, and is renowned for trout fishing world wide.

In the adjoining native garden, Reefton’s premier restaurant, Alfresco’s will tend to your dining needs should you wish to be catered for during your stay. A varied menu with fresh salad accompaniments, seafoods, beef steaks, lamb, and pizzas, are just some of the meals that you can enjoy on your private deck or the restaurant’s all-weather verandah.

The barbeque in the fenced private courtyard is an excellent place to relax after a day spent walking the amazing bush tracks, exploring local museums and gold mining ghost towns, enjoying the ambience of a town steeped in history, delighting in the local shopping, fishing the many rivers within easy reach, mountain biking the tracks through bush and forest, golfing on our picturesque 12 hole course or even four wheel driving...... We can arrange the meats and salads, hire clubs, hire bikes, provide family picnic hampers, fishing guides, and much more so everything is at your leisure. (Miles loves talking, fishing, golf and any sport!)
